USING INTERNAL BATTERY POWER

You can power the Portavision from eight D batteries. We recommend
alkaline batteries (such as Cat. No. 23-550) for longest battery life.
You can also use rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries (such as Cat. No.
23-123).

Follow these steps to install batteries.

NOTE: If you use rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries, you need a
separate battery charger such as Cat. No. 23-132.

1. Carefully turn the TV/radio upside down and gently push the battery
compartment cover in the direction of the arrows. Then lift off the
    cover.

2. Install eight D batteries in the battery compartments as indicated by
the polarity symbols (+ and -) marked inside the battery compartments.

CAUTION: Installing the batteries incorrectly can damage your TV/radio.

3. Replace the battery compartment cover.

NOTES:

-When the TV picture shrinks, replace the batteries.

-Battery life can vary greatly, depending on how you use your TV/radio.
TV operation drains batteries faster than radio operation.

-If you do not intend to use your TV/radio for a month or more, remove the
batteries. Never store your TV/radio with batteries inside. They can
 leak damaging chemicals.
