TV OPERATION

1.  Rotate VOLUME toward the left to turn on the television.

2.  Set TV/AM/FM to TV.

3.  Set VHF-LO/VHF-HI/UHF to the desired band.

       Channels:                   Use:

       2-6                         VHF-LO

       7-13                        VHF-HI

       14 and higher               UHF

4.  Slowly rotate TUNING to the desired station.

5.  Adjust the built-in telescoping antenna for the best picture and
    sound.  (See "Built-In Antenna" in Faxback Doc. # 48137.)

6.  Adjust BRIGHT and CONTRAST on the back of the television until the
    desired picture appears.

7.  If necessary, adjust V-HOLD on the back of the television to stop any
    vertical roll in the TV's picture.

8.  Rotate VOLUME to the desired listening level.

9.  Unfold the television's stand if needed to improve your viewing angle.

10. To turn off the television, rotate VOLUME toward the right until it
    clicks.

TV Reception Tips

If the image is blurry, unstable, or has "snow," the signal reception
might be weak.  This can be caused by the television's location or the
position and length of the telescoping antenna.  Buildings made with large
amounts of steel can cause reception problems.  Try changing the position
and length of the antenna.  If this does not help, use an outdoor antenna
(see "Connecting Antennas" in Faxback Doc. # 48137).

If the TV picture shrinks during battery power operation, the batteries
might be weak.  Check and replace (or recharge) the batteries as needed.

RADIO OPERATION

1.  Rotate VOLUME toward the left to turn on the television.

2.  Set TV/AM/FM to AM or FM as desired.

3.  Slowly rotate TUNING to the desired station.

4.  Rotate VOLUME to the desired listening level.

5.  To turn off the television, rotate VOLUME toward the right until it
    clicks.

Radio Reception Tips

If FM reception is weak, try changing the position of the telescoping
antenna.  If this does not help, use an outdoor antenna (see "Connecting
Antennas" in Faxback Doc. # 48137).

If AM reception is weak, this may be due to the distance of the station or
operation of the television in a building with steel construction.  Turn
the television in different directions for the best reception.
