Power Sources
You can power the Model 150 from one of three sources - the battery pack,
the AC adapter/charger, or a vehicle battery.
Because the supplied battery pack comes fully discharged, you must use one
of the other power sources to make your first recording, or you must wait
about one hour for the battery to charge. See "Battery Pack."
AC Adapter/Charger
1. Line up the alignment mark on the back of the camcorder with the
alignment mark on the camera side of the adapter/charger, as shown.
NOTE: You cannot attach the adapter/charger to the camcorder when
the battery pack is attached to the adapter/charger.
2. Press the adapter/charger against the camera and slide it down until
it locks into place. It might be necessary to move the viewfinder
out of the way. See "Viewfinder Adjustment."
3. Plug AC adapter/charger power cord into an AC outlet.
You can now operate the Model 150 from adapter/charger power
following the instruction in this manual.
To remove the adapter/charger, push the BATTERY EJECT lever in the direct-
ion of the arrow while pulling up and out on the adapter/charger.

Battery Pack Status
The remaining power in the battery is indicated in the electronic view-
finder when the camcorder is turned on and the battery pack is directly
attached to the camcorder.
If the digital counter is not in the viewfinder, an E flashes in the
viewfinder when the battery pack needs recharging.
Switch to a different power source, and charge the battery pack immediate-
ly. Or, you can obtain an extra battery pack, and keep one on charge while
you are using the other.
If the digital counter is displayed in the viewfinder, E---F appears in
the viewfinder when the battery is fully charged. See: "Digital Counter
with Memory."
The F and two dashes disappear one at a time as battery power is used.
When - flashes, the battery pack must be recharged.
If you are using the adapter/charger or the DC power cord for power,
E----F is displayed in the viewfinder whenever the digital counter is
displayed.
Vehicle Battery
CAUTION: Use this procedure only if your vehicle has a 12-volt, negative
ground electrical system. Also, note that the suggested DC power
cord (CM No. T16-CC7A) provides 12 volts at 4 A, has a barrel
connector with 5.5 mm outside diameter and 2.5 mm inside diameter,
provides positive power to the center terminal of the DC jack, and
has a cigarette lighter plug on the other end.
1. Attach the barrel connector of the optional DC power cord to the DC IN
12V jack on the back of the Model 150.
The battery pack and/or the adapter/charger must be removed from the
camcorder.
2. Plug the other end of the power cord into the cigarette lighter socket
of your vehicle.
If you have problems, be sure the power cord plug is pushed completely into
the lighter socket. Also, be sure the socket is free from ashes and other
debris.
