MOD-42 Cable Ready Stereo VCR
(160-0612) Maintenance Faxback Doc. # 41009
Cabinet Cleaning
Wipe the front panel and other exterior surfaces of the VCR with a clean,
soft, dry cloth. Stains should be removed with a soft cloth immersed in
lukewarm water and wrung dry.
Never use a solvent or alcohol. Do not spray insecticide liquid near the
VCR. Such chemicals may cause damage and discoloration to the exposed
surfaces.
Head Cleaning
Picture playback may become blurred or interrupted while the TV program
received is clear. This does not mean that the recorded program has been
erased. Dirt accumulated on the head after long periods of use causes this
problem. In this case, head cleaning requiring highly technical care is
necessary. For head cleaning, consult the nearest Radio Shack store.
Clean heads only when problems occur.
Servicing
Should your VCR become inoperable, do not try to solve the problem yourself.
There are no user serviceable parts inside. Switch the power off, unplug
the power cord, and take the unit to a Radio Shack's authorized Video Ser-
vice Center for servicing.
