Programming Tuner Memory Positions
1. Press POWER so that the POWER indicator lights.
2. Press the TV/VCR button so that VCR appears on the display.
3. Set the TUNER switch to the desired band - VHF/CATV or UHF.
The display changes from channel tag numbers to memory position numbers,
and CH flashes.
4. Press one of the CHANNEL buttons (< >) until the desired memory position
number is displayed.
If the position number flashes along with CH, tuner is set to skip that
position. See "Skipping Memory Positions" below.
5. Press the + or - button until the desired channel is received. Continue
using the buttons to tune the picture as clearly as possible.
6. Set the TUNING switch to the OFF (center) position. The display changes
from memory position numbers to channel tag numbers, and CH stops flash-
ing.
7. Use the LEFT NO and RIGHT NO buttons to select the channel tag number.
To program cable channels, you press the CATV button so that CATV
appears on the display.
We suggest that you make the tag number the actual channel number used
by the TV station or cable company.
8. Press MEMORY to store the channel tuning and channel tag number in
memory.
Repeat steps 3-8 to program additional memory positions.
Skipping Memory Positions
Use this procedure to program the tuner to skip selected memory positions
during normal operation. To activate blank tuner positions or to reactivate
memory positions you previously chose to skip, see "Re-Activating Skipped
Memory Positions" below.
1. Press TV/VCR so that VCR is displayed - POWER must be on.
2. Press one of the CHANNEL buttons (< >) until the desired channel tag
number is displayed - 51, for example.
3. Set the TUNING switch to VHF/CATV or UHF. The display changes to the
memory position number (14, for example), and CH flashes.
4. Press the SKIP button. The memory position number flashes along with CH.
5. Set the TUNING switch to the OFF (center) position.
Repeat steps 2-5 to skip additional memory positions.
Re-Activating Skipped Memory Positions
Use procedure to activate the blank memory positions or to re-activate
memory positions you have chosen to skip.
1. Press TV/VCR so that VCR is displayed - POWER must be on.
2. Set the TUNING switch to VHF/CATV or UHF. The display changes to memory
position numbers, and CH flashes.
3. Use the CHANNEL buttons (< >) to select the memory position you want to
re-activate. The position number flashes along with CH.
4. Press the SKIP button. The memory position number stops flashing.
5. Set the TUNING switch to OFF. The display returns to channel tag
numbers.
Repeat steps 2-5 to re-activate additional memory positions.
If it is necessary to re-program the channel tuning or channel tag number,
perform "Programming Tuner Memory Positions" above.
