    SPECIAL NOTE:
Since the TV set is continuously tuning, you may tune in some rather
strange sounds; this is normal and is actually a minor feature of this
type of tuning. You may be able to identify some of these unusual
    signals.

POSSIBLE TV RECEPTION PROBLEMS

    1. If the image is weak (with "snow") the signal reception may be
weak. This can be caused by your location-buildings made with a
large amount of steel can cause reception problems. Try changing
the position and length of the antenna. If this does not help,
use an outdoor antenna, especially if you are located far from the
        TV station.

    2. "Snow" along with "tear" or "roll" can often be due to improper
tuning. This can also be due to a very weak signal.

    3. Tune slowly to the desired station with the RADIO TUNING Control
        15.

    4. Adjust the VOLUME Control 12 to the desired level.

RADIO OPERATION

    3. Tune slowly to the desired station with the RADIO TUNING
        Control 15.

    4. Adjust the VOLUME Control 12 to the desired level.

POSSIBLE RADIO RECEPTION PROBLEMS

    1. If FM reception is weak, this is generally caused by problems
similar to those described in "Possible TV Reception Problems".
Use an outdoor antenna for very weak stations.

    2. If AM reception is weak, this may be due to distance of the
station or operation of the unit in a building with steel
construction. Turn the unit in different directions to find the
best position for the built in ferrite bar antenna.
