the desired station, press the AFT button ON.

    Note:

If this adjustment is not satisfactory, press the AUTO button OFF and
use the color and TINT controls to make these adjustments.

Adjust the BRIGHTness and CONTRAST controls for the desired picture
    quality.

Adjust the sliding VOLUME control for the desired volume level.

Earphone

You can use the earphone for private listening. When it is plugged into
the Earphone jack, the internal speaker is automatically disconnected.
Using the earphone extends battery life because it uses less energy than
the speaker.

Degaussing Switch

A poor color picture may appear on the screen because of magnetic
influences from other appliance operating near the set. To demagnetize
the picture tube, first remove the source of the magnetic interference.
Then push the DEGAUSS switch on the back panel.

Reception Hints

If your antenna wire is 300 ohm flat lead, connect it to the 300 ohm
terminals. If your antenna wire is 75 ohm coaxial cable, pull out on the
jumper pin, turn it to the side, and put it into the storage hole; then
connect the coaxial cable to the 75 ohm connector.

This short jumper pin switches your TV between 300 ohm and 75 ohm
impedances.

    Note:

Reception of channels 7-13 might be slightly better, especially in
weak signal areas, with the rod antenna shortened a little.

Your local Radio Shack store has a wide selection of antennas for car
(Cat. No. 15-1610) or home Drop by and look them over.
