Your PORTAVISION by Radio Shack is quality crafted by the world's leading
electronics professionals. It uses the latest circuitry and the finest
materials. Each set passes rigid inspections, assuring you of high
quality.

The PORTAVISION is streamlined, lightweight and durable, so you can enjoy
it anywhere - indoors or out, at home or in the car.

This versatile TV can be operated by three different power sources:
standard 120V AC current; 6 internal batteries, or your car battery via
the DC car adapter.

The telescopic monopole antenna will give you brilliant picture and sound
on VHF or UHF in most areas, and we have provided external antenna
terminals so you can connect the PORTAVISION to an external antenna in
weak signal areas.

A built-in sun hood will increase the quality of your picture whenever
you use your PORTAVISION out doors.

The earphone jack automatically disconnects the speaker when the earphone
is plugged in, so you can enjoy private listening.

By following the instructions for use and care in this manual, you will
have many years of trouble-free viewing with the PORTAVISION.

IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS

Do not leave you set in direct sunlight, or any place (such as in a
parked car or near a heater) where it will be subjected to external
  heat (above 130 degrees F).

The ventilation slots in the unit must not be blocked or covered.

To prevent shock, do not use your PORTAVISION in a wet or moist place
(such as a bathroom or kitchen) when operating on AC current.

If you're not going to use your set for a long time (one week or more),
disconnect the AC power cord at the wall and remove the batteries.

Your PORTAVISION may not operate if quickly moved from a cold place
(below 32 degrees F) to a warm place. In this case allow the unit to
warm up for 30 minutes before turning on the power.

Don't try to adjust the control marked RF-AGC on the bottom of the
cabinet. Only a qualified service technician should make this
  adjustment.

Use a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with a weak detergents solvent
to clean the cabinet. Do not use benzine, thinner, or aerosol sprays -
they will make the finish deteriorate and will cause cracks in the
cabinet. To prevent shock, unplug the set before cleaning.

For your protection, record the serial number located on the rear of your
unit in the space provided below.
