Basic TV Operation
Before you operate the TV/VCR, be sure you have made all the necessary
connections described in "Getting Started".
Using the TV/VCR's Front Panel Controls
NOTE: The controls are located under the flip-down door on the bottom,
front of the TV in the center. Press door to open and gain access
to controls.
POWER - Press POWER to turn the TV/VCR on or off. The power button lights.
NOTE: Power turns on automatically when a cassette tape is loaded. If you
load a tape without the erase protection tab, the video program
automatically plays.
TV/VCR - Press TV/VCR to select the TV or CABLE TV mode. Select TV to view
regular broadcast; select CATV to view cable channels.
NOTE: When you select TV, CH and the current channel number appear on the
screen. When you select CATV, CATV and the current channel number
appear on the screen.
CH (channel) /\ - \/ - Press CH /\ to select the next higher channel in the
current band and press CH \/ to select the next lower channel in the
current band. Press and hold down either button to quickly scroll
through channels. See "Using Automatic and Manual Channel Program-
ming."
Using the Remote Control
The remote control has the same controls as the TV/VCR's front panel. The
remote control also has additional controls.
To operate the TV/VCR's control, point its front window towards the TV/VCR's
remote control sensor. Then press the desired button(s) on the remote
control.
This section describes the controls found only on the remote control.
DISPLAY - Press DISPLAY to view the channel number, the operation mode, the
tape counter, speed and the current time. After 5 seconds, it
disappears. Press again within 5 seconds and the channel number
and the tape counter appears on the screen. To clear the channel
number and the tape counter, press again.
SET-UP - Use SET UP to select the channel memory and ON/OFF timer. See "Set
Up Functions."
MENU - Use MENU to select the clock set, programmable recording (normal,
daily, weekly), and program review.
