CARE SUGGESTIONS

Your Realistic Model 47 VHS Stereo Hi-Fi VCR is an example of superior
design and craftsmanship. The following suggestions will help you care
for the VCR so that you can enjoy it for years.

Keep the VCR dry. If it does get wet, wipe it dry immediately.
Liquids can contain minerals that corrode the electronic circuits.

Handle the VCR gently and carefully. Dropping it can damage its
circuit boards and case and can cause it to work improperly.

Use and store the VCR only in normal temperature environments.
Temperature extremes can shorten the life of electronic devices, and
    distort or melt plastic parts.

Keep the VCR away from dust and dirt, which can cause premature wear
    of parts.

Wipe the VCR with a dampened cloth occasionally to keep it looking
    new.

Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to
    clean the VCR.

Modifying or tampering with your VCR's internal components can cause a
malfunction and might invalidate the VCR's warranty. If your VCR is not
operating as it should, take it to your local Radio Shack store for
service if needed.

MAINTENANCE

Cleaning the Cabinet

Wipe the VCR's front panel and other exterior surfaces with a clean, soft,
dry cloth. Remove stains using a damp, soft cloth.

Head Cleaning

Dirty video heads can cause the playback picture to become blurred even
though the recorded signal is clear. Serious problems require cleaning by
a trained technician. For more head cleaning information, consult your
local Radio Shack store.

Clean heads only when problems occur.

Servicing Your VCR

There are no user-serviceable parts inside your VCR. If you encounter
programs that you cannot correct using this manual and its troubleshooting
guide, take the VCR to your local Radio Shack so that your personnel can
help you or arrange for service if needed.
