Model 127 Moviecorder
(160-0827) Video Editing Faxback Doc. # 37752
The video editing feature lets you record new pictures on a previously
recorded tape without erasing the original soundtrack.
When you use video editing, the previous video is erased and replaced with
new pictures. You can record what you see in the viewfinder, whether it
is from the camcorder's lens or another video source connected to VIDEO
jack.
NOTE: To edit using an external video source, set AV to IN. To edit
using the image seen through the camcorder's lens, set AV to OUT.
1. Insert the recorded cassette. Be sure the erase-protection tab is
intact.
2. Slide the power switch to VCR so that the power indicator lights.
3. Play the tape up to the point where you want to video edit to end.
4. Press COUNTER MEMORY/DISPLAY until M appears in the viewfinder next to
the counter reading. Then, press COUNTER RESET to reset the counter
to 0 0 0 0.
5. Rewind the tape past the dubbing start position. Then, press PLAY
to reach the exact start position. When you reach the start position,
press PAUSE/STILL.
6. Press VIDEO INSERT. INSERT || appears in the viewfinder.
7. Press PAUSE/STILL. The insert editing starts and will automatically
stop when the counter shows 0 0 0 0. To stop recording before
reaching 0 0 0 0, press STOP.
To protect the tape, the camcorder releases the tape tension and enters
the stop mode when it is left longer than 5 minutes in the record pause
mode.
