(160-0827) Audio Editing Faxback Doc. # 37751
The audio editing feature lets you record a new soundtrack on a previously
recorded tape without erasing the original pictures.
When you use the audio editing, the previous audio is erased and replaced
with new sound. You can use sounds picked up by the camcorder's built-in
microphone, an external microphone, or signals from an audio source
connected to AUDIO jack.
NOTE: To edit using an external audio source, set AV to IN. To edit
using sound from the built-in microphone, set AV to OUT.
1. Insert the recorded cassette. Be sure the erase-protection tab
is intact.
2. Slide the power switch to VCR so that the power indicator lights.
3. Play the tape up to the point where you want the audio dub to start.
Then, press PAUSE/STILL. The camcorder enters the freeze-frame mode.
4. Press AUDIO INSERT, AUDIO DUB || appears in the viewfinder.
5. Activate the new audio source, and press PAUSE/STILL to begin audio
dubbing. AUDIO DUB. appears in viewfinder.
