INSTALLING THE CLOCK/CALENDAR BATTERY

The following procedure tells you how it install the battery that powers
the camcorder's clock/calendar.

WARNINGS:  Replace the battery with type CR2025 (Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-
           161) only.

           Use of another battery may present a risk of fire or explosive.

CAUTION:  The battery might explode if mistreated.  Do not recharge,
          disassemble, or dispose of the battery in fire.

WARNING:  Keep this battery away from children.  If swallowed, consult
          a physician immediately for emergency treatment.

1.  To remove the lithium-battery holder by sliding it in the direction
    of the arrow.

2.  Install the supplied CR2025 lithium battery with the + side facing
    down.

3.  Replace the holder.

    NOTES:  The battery life is approximately one year, but this can
            vary depending on the temperature and operating conditions.

            Replace the lithium about once a year.

            Do not handle this battery with metal tweezers or any other
            metal object.  This could create a short circuit that shortens
            the battery's life.

            The lithium battery might drain quickly if you leave the
            camcorder's power switch set to CAMERA or VCR without
            connecting a power source (battery pack, AC adapter, or
            car battery adapter).  Be sure to set the power switch to
            OFF when the camcorder is not in use.
