Your Model 30 Color TV with Built-In VHS VCR combines a versatile color TV/
monitor and a VCR in one space-saving cabinet. The TV/VCR receives TV
programs and plays video tapes. it also records onto video tapes from TV
programs or an audio/video source you connect to it.
Please read this owner's manual carefully. It has been prepared to assist
you with initial setup procedures and to guide you in the TV/VCR's everyday
operation.
GENERAL
Automatic/Manual Clock - lets you set the TV/VCR to automatically up-date
Setting its clock using EDS (Extended Data Service)
signals broadcast by certain stations. You can
also manually set the clock.
NOTE: EDS is a Service provided by some broadcasters to transmit various
types of information including the current time. If no broadcasters
in your area transmit EDS signals, automatic clock setting will not
work.
Station Display - automatically displays station identification
call letters broadcast if a station transmits
them.
Automatic DST - lets you set the TV/VCR to automatically adjust
(Daylight Saving Time) the time for Daylight Saving Time.
Adjustment
Remote Control - provides remote access to most of the tape-motion
and TV controls.
NOTE: Your TV/VCR's remote control requires two AA batteries (not included)
for operation.
Rear Audio/Video - lets you quitckly connect an Audio/Video device
Input Jacks such as a camcorder or video game without dis-
connecting other devices.
Last Channel Recall - lets you quickly switch between broadcasts on
two different channels by pressing a single
button.
On Timer - lets you set the TV/VCR to turn on at a specified
time.
Sleep Timer - lets you set the TV/VCR to play for the amount
of time you select, then automatically shut off.
Closed Captioning - receives and displays closed caption signals for
those programs that broadcast them, and lets you
receive other information from TV stations.
Caption on Mute Feature - lets you set the TV/VCR so it automatically dis-
plays closed caption information when you mute
the sound.
Bilingual On-Screen Menu - displays instructions on the TV screen in English
or Spanish.
RECORDING/PLAYBACK
Three Recording/Playback - lets you choose the best recording speed for the
Speeds desired length and recording quality.
1-Month, 8-Event Digital - lets you program the TV/VCR to make up to eight
Timer unattended weekly, daily, or one-time recordings
within a 1-month period.
OneTouch Timer Recording - lets you immediately start a recording that
automatically stops after the length of time you
select.
Automatic/Manual - adjusts the tracking automatically for each tape
Tracking you play. You can also adjust the tracking
manually.
Automatic Playback/ - makes playback easy when you load a video cass-
Rewind/Eject ette tape by automatically playing, rewinding,
and ejecting it.
Freeze-Frame - lets you temporarily stop the action and view a
single frame.
Auto Repeat - lets you set the TV/VCR to automatically repeat
a tape when it reaches the end or a blank spot
on the tape during playback.
Fast-Forward/Reverse - helps you easily find a selection on the tape,
with Visual Search and lets you quickly move the tape through
recorded material you want to skip.
Real-Time Counter with - lets you select and easily return to a specific
Memory point on the tape.
TUNING
179-Channel Capability, - offers a broad range of viewing choices and a
Digital PLL (Phase- clear, sharp picture.
Locked Loop) Tuner
Tuner Memory Programming - automatically stores all the active channels in
your area into Memory. You can also manually
program the tuner's memory, making it easy to
add new channels when you move the TV/VCR to
another area, or delete channels you do not want.
