USING THE SCENE MENUS
In addition to the full auto mode, the Model 161 has scene menus that
automatically set the exposure, white balance, and shutter speed for four
specific types of shooting situations.
1. Set the power switch to CAMERA.
2. Press MODE DISPLAY to display the auto/manual indicators.
3. Press SCENE MENU (button) to select the scene setting that best fits
the recording situation.

4. Press MODE DISPLAY to turn off the auto/manual indicators.
To return to the normal full auto settings, press MODE DISPLAY, and then
press button until SCENE MENU displays.
NOTES: The selected shooting mode remains in effect even when you turn off
the auto/manual indicators.
When you select the SPORT mode, recording under fluorescent lights,
or mercury or sodium lamps might cause color shifts or fluctuations
in picture brightness.
If you select the TWILIGHT mode and the lighting is dim, the
picture quality might not be satisfactory.
We recommend you use the SCENE MENU (full auto) setting for outdoor
parties.
