The CH4/CH3 switch determines which channel you tune your TV to when you
play a tape or tune using the VCR's tuner.  Set the switch to CH3 (or
CH4).  If the channel you select is an active channel in your area, set
the CH4/CH3 switch to the other position.

The CH4/CH3 switch has no effect when the VCR is off and when VCR does not
appear on the display.

INSTALLING THE REMOTE CONTROL'S BATTERY

The remote control requires two AA batteries (not included) for operation.
We recommend alkaline batteries such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-552.

Follow these steps to install the batteries.

1.  Remove the battery compartment cover by pressing it in the direction
    of the arrow.

2.  Insert two fresh AA batteries into the compartment, as indicated by
    the polarity symbols (+ and -) marked inside the compartment.

3.  Replace the compartment cover.

NOTE:  If the remote control does not operate properly, replace both
       batteries.

CAUTION:  Use only fresh batteries of the recommended size and type.
          Always remove old or weak batteries.  They can leak chemicals
          that can damage electronic circuits.
