Dubbing a Video Cassette

Follow these steps to dub (copy) a video cassette. You can use a
camcorder, satellite receiver, or other device with A/V outputs in place
of the playback VCR.

1. Insert a pre-recorded video cassette into the playback VCR.

Use PLAY/FAST-F/REWIND to locate the segment you wish to record, if
    necessary.

2. Insert a blank video cassette, or one you want to record over, into
    the recording VCR's Cassette compartment.

3. Set the recording VCR to the A/V mode.

If you are using the Model 801 as the recording VCR, press INPUT on
the remote control. LINE appears on the VCR's display.

4. Select the desired recording speed on the recording VCR.

5. Start recording on the recording VCR.

6. Begin playback of the tape in the playback VCR.

7. When finished, stop both VCRs.

Press INPUT, if necessary, to return to normal TV viewing.

NOTE: For best results during dubbing, use the VCR's front panel controls
whenever possible. If you use the remote control, hold the remote
control close to the VCR remote control receiver window. Otherwise,
the remote control of one VCR might affect the operation of the
       other VCR.

Audio Line-in Selection

When you record from another VCR, a laser disk player, or other source
connected to the AUDIO/VIDEO IN jacks on the rear panel, you can set the
audio recording to STEREO or DUAL.
