Moisture Condensation
When you move the camcorder from a cold area to a warm, humid area,
moisture might condense inside the camcorder. TAPE flashes in the
viewfinder if the camcorder detects condense moisture. Condensation can
cause the tape to stick to the video head inside the camcorder, causing the
tape to jam and possibly damaging the video head.
If TAPE flashes in the viewfinder or when you first use your camcorder
after moving it from a cold area to a warm one, follow these steps.
1. Eject the tape if one is installed.
2. If necessary, slide VCR/OFF/CAMERA to OFF.
3. Let the camcorder sit for 2-3 hours before you begin operation.
CAUTION: Avoid using the camcorder in excessively humid areas.
