Be sure the camcorder's power is on, and the CAMERA/VCR PLAY switch
    is set to CAMERA/VCR.

Press TITLE to display the last title selected.

2. Press TITLE to remove the title display.

3. Begin recording, and at the desired point, press TITLE to display and
    record the title.

4. Press TITLE again to stop recording the title.

NOTE: You can also record a title over a prerecorded tape as you
copy from the camcorder to another VCR. See "Duplicating a
Video Cassette", (see below) for information about copying.

TIME-LAPSE RECORDING

You can program the camcorder to make a series of 1-second recordings that
occur 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes. or 5 minutes apart. When played
back, this has the effect of compressing time. This feature is great for
recording and examining slowly developing action.

Follow these steps to make a time-lapse recording.

1. Be sure the CAMERA/VCR PLAY switch is set to CAMERA/VCR.

Before recording, repeatedly press TIME LAPSE to the right until the
interval you want between each recording appears in the viewfinder.

The displays appear in the following order:

    INTERVAL 0:30 (30 seconds)

    INTERVAL 1:00 (1 minute)

    INTERVAL 2:00 (2 minute)

    INTERVAL 5:00 (5 minute)

INTERVAL MAN (manual; used for one-shot recording)

    No display (cancels time-lapse recording)

2. Press the red record/pause button or STILL to begin recording. STNDBY
and the interval time appear, and the interval time clock starts
    counting.

3. When the clock reaches 0:00, the camcorder records for 1 second. Then,
the camcorder stops recording, STNDBY appears, and the clock starts
    counting again.

This cycle repeats until you press the record/pause button to stop
    recording.

4. Press the record/pause button or press STILL to stop time-lapse
    recording.

NOTES: Do not continue time-lapse recording for more than 48 hours.

You can change the interval time at any time (even during
time lapse recording) by pressing TIME LAPSE.

ONE-SHOT RECORDING

With one-shot recording, the camcorder records a few frames every time you
press the red record/pause button or STILL. You can use this feature to
produce an animated video. For example, you can make a doll seem to wave
by moving its arm slightly between each one-shot recording.

Follow these steps to use the one-shot recording feature.

1. Be sure the CAMERA/VCR PLAY switch is set to CAMERA/VCR.

Before recording, repeatedly press TIME LAPSE to the right until
INTERVAL MAN appears in the viewfinder.

2. Press the record/pause button to begin recording.

REC appears in the viewfinder and the camcorder records a few frames.
Then, PAUSE appears in the viewfinder and the camcorder stops
    recording.

3. Press the record/pause button again for each one-shot recording.

4. To stop one-shot recording, press TIME LAPSE so that INTERVAL MAN
    disappears.

NEGATIVE/POSITIVE INVERSION

You can create an interesting special effect by inverting dark and light
colors as in a film negative.

Set the POSITIVE/NEGATIVE switch to NEGATIVE to invert the colors.

Set it to POSITIVE to return to a normal image.

RECORDING TV PROGRAMS

If the TV has audio/video output jacks, you can use the camcorder to record
TV programs. This requires an optional audio/video input cable (CM No.
T16-CH60).

NOTES: You can use this procedure to record from any audio/video source
        that has audio/video output jacks.

The iris and focus settings have no effect on this type of
recording. In addition, you cannot use special recording features
        such as the self-timer, fade-in/fade-out, or positive/negative
inversion. You can, however, record the date and time. See
        "Clock/Calendar Code Generator.", (see above).

Follow these steps to record a TV program.

1. Insert the audio/video source that has audio/video output jacks.

2. Insert the audio/video input cable's white plug into the TV's audio
    output jack.

NOTE: If the TV has stereo sound, use a Y-adapter for the audio
    connection.

3. Connect the other end of the audio/video input cable to the camcorder's
    AV IN jack.

4. Set the CAMERA/VCR PLAY switch to CAMERA/VCR.

5. Insert a blank tape into the camcorder.

6. Turn on the TV and the camcorder. Set the TV to the channel you want
    to record.

    appears in the viewfinder.

8. Press the red record/pause button or STILL to stop recording. PAUSE
    appears in the viewfinder.
