You can use the camcorder in foreign countries if you have battery packs
or the AC adapter/charger, and cassettes.  You can use the AC adapter/
charger for powering the camcorder or charging batteries in any place
where 100V to 240V AC is available.

However, you can only play back the tape on a TV that uses the NTSC color
system and has audio/video input terminals.

(Channel frequencies vary in other countries.)

The main countries using the NTSC system:

USA, Canada, Japan, Korea, Mexico, the Philippines, and Taiwan.

The main countries using the PAL system:

England, Italy, Austria, Australia, West Germany, Holland, Kuwait,
Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Thailand, People's Republic of
China, Denmark, New Zealand, Norway, Belgium, Portugal, and Hong Kong.

Main countries using the SECAM system:

Iran, Iraq, USSR, Hungary, France, Bulgaria, Poland, Monaco, and
Luxembourg.
