- Verify the batteries are fresh and installed properly.
- Check for any devices that can cause interference. This includes any wireless devices, computers and monitors, fluorescent lighting, CB radios, etc.
- Try repositioning the antenna or relocating the unit.
Steel and concrete walls reduce transmitting range. If the transmitter is located in a concrete or steel building, and part of the coverage area is located outside the structure, place the unit and antenna close to a window.
If you are still having problems with poor range, you can use an outdoor base station or "no ground" mobile CB antenna (such as the 21-977 "No-ground" Antenna) in place of the supplied antenna.
