| Question: What is the viewing range of this camera? |
Answer: The camera can see and identify persons at approximately 40 feet. The motion detector activates at approximately 25 feet. You should be able to see objects at 100 yards and know the difference between the between trucks and cars and people.

| Question: Is the 4-channel video adapter needed with this unit? |
Answer: No. This unit will connect and transmit to a VCR. The 4-channel video adapter is an additional device which integrates the motion detector and activates the VCR only when motion is detected.
