| Question: What numbers should I program; can I program it for 911? |
> Answer: You should program numbers which are likely to reach a person (not an answering machine) who can determine if there is a real problem. If it hits an answer machine, then the dialer could stop calling. That person can then call the police, if necessary, or call you back to see if everything is fine. You should not program the dialer to dial the police directly, unless your local police has a special line for emergency dialers. In most cities, due to getting a high number of false alarms, you can get charged by the city or the city may not respond to the call (check with your local police for specific details for your area).
