| Question: What battery does this require? |
> Answer: This requires a 9-volt battery. We recommend an alkaline 9V, such as the Enercell Alkaline 9V battery (Cat. No. 23-875). You should not use the new Enercell Plus Alkaline batteries, as the door alarm/entry chime is a low- to moderate-drain device; you would not see a significant increase in battery life.
