 490-0311 Invisible Beam Alert

Question: This is not working; how do I troubleshoot it?

Answer:
To troubleshoot this unit, turn SENSITIVITY fully clockwise to MAX. If the alignment is correct, the ALIGNMENT indicator lights. The indicator should turn off when the beam is interrupted or when SENSITIVITY is set to MIN.

If the ALIGNMENT indicator does not light, the main unit and reflector are not aligned properly. You need to readjust the unit.

  1. Connect the red wire from the counter to the COM terminal.
  2. Connect the black wire from the counter to the GND (Ground) terminal.
  3. Jumper the NO terminal on the Alert to the EXT 12+ terminal.
