| Wireless security systems and components include a wide range of devices. The basic wireless security device is a stand-alone shock sensor or motion sensor with a built-in siren. This device is placed against a door or window (for a shock sensor) or placed to cover a given area (for a motion sensor). Other devices include invisible beam entry alerts and door alarms with an entry chime function.
However, these devices do not represent a true "system", which comprises a control base, an alarm siren, and one or more sensors. In additionm, a security system is often, but not always, expandable so that it can be customized for your needs. |
