| Question: My Free Session does not work according to the manual. |
Answer: We have rephrased the instructions below to be clearer:
- The way you choose which chord progression you want is by selecting the rhythm first.
(B) Press rhythm and then the 2digit rhythm #00-99.
- Press FREE SESSION. You will see a bar next to Free Session on the display.
- Press START/STOP.
You will need to make the decision on what the progression will be when you choose the rhythm, then look on page 60-61 of the manual (available on-line) to see what the progression is going to be. After you press FREE SESSION, you can change the rhythm to what ever you want (including tempo) and even change what tone you want and it will not effect the progression.
To change to another progression, you must exit out of free session by pressing FREE SESSION (the indicator will be removed from the display), and then start from Step 1. |

| Question: I connected a non-RadioShack Sustain Foot Pedal to the "assignable jack" & pedal works backward; is there any special programming needed? |
| Answer: This is a "smart" jack -- once the pedal is plugged in, the jack recognizes that a sustain foot pedal is plugged in and allow use of it. There is no programming available. If the pedal does not work properly, then it is not compatible with this keyboard. |

| Question: Which AC adapter should I use? |
| Answer: You can power your Concertmate 990 from standard AC power using a 9-volt AC adapter (not supplied), such as Adapter 273-1770.
Caution: You must use an AC adapter that supplies 9 volts and delivers at least 850 milliamps. Its center tip must be set to negative, and its plug must correctly fit the Concertmate 990's DC 9V jack. The recommended adapter meets these specifications. Using an adapter that does not meet these specifications could damage the Concertmate 990 or the adapter. |
