The Environizer™ (630-0612 and 630-0613): Cleaning and Maintenance

In this tutorial, you will be shown how to clean and maintain your Environizer. The Collector Rod should be cleaned at least once every three weeks. More frequent cleaning may be required depending upon environmental conditions. The Environizer™ will make an audible "crackling" sound if excessive debris builds up on the collector.

Step 1: Shut Down and Open the Environizer

Turn off and unplug the Environizer.

Press the control panel release button and rotate the panel up.

Step 2: Remove and Clean the Collector Rod

Remove and clean the collector rod as described in Cleaning the Collector Rod.

Turn the unit upside-down 2 or 3 times and hold for at least 3 seconds each time. This allows the cleaning bars inside the unit to scrape any accumulated debris off the electrostatic wires.

Note: Do not stick any foreign objects or your fingers inside the unit.

Step 3: Clean the External Surfaces

Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe the external surfaces of the Environizer. DO NOT USE WATER, GASOLINE, POLISH, OR ANY CHEMICAL SOLUTION.
