Answer: No. The Environizer needs to be cleaned. When too much dirt accumulates on both the collector and electrostatic wires, the power to the Collector Rod turns off, but the fan will continue to run. Clean the Environizer and the unit should then operate normally. See Cleaning The Collector Rod and Cleaning and Maintenance.
