| Question: What's the difference between active and passive noise reduction? |
Answer: Active noise reduction is a method of noise reduction on headphones that samples the ambient outside noise and uses an active electronic mechanism (usually by feeding in inverse wavelengths to cancel out the noise). Passive noise reduction is a method of noise reducion on headphones that uses baffles or padding to insulate the ear from outside sound.
