Answer: The antenna is a 5/8 wave. 5/8 wave is more efficient than 1/2 wave, providing a better impedance match without an antenna tuner (which we do not carry for CB antennas). Most mobile antennas we carry (for CB, ham, business band, etc.) will be either 1/4 wave or 5/8 wave, unless specifically noted as 1/2 wave. Some whips may be either 1/4, 1/2, 5/8 or full wave.
