Question: How long should the crank be turned for in order to get about an hour of listening time?

Answer:  In order to listen to the radio for approximately an hour the crank should be vigorously turned for about 2 minutes. There a number of things that can affect the time that the radio will work before recharging is necessary. Using the light will significantly reduce the playtime of the radio. Playing the radio at low volume will help increase the play time.

Note: Before charging the batteries with the dynamo crank, the power selector should be in the OFF position. The radio can be charged while playing, but it will not charge as efficiently as when it is turned OFF.
