 190-1210 Business Band Mobile Transceiver w/CTCSS/VHF-FM

Question: What are the new MURS (Multi-Use Radio Service) channels for our Business Band Radios?

Answer:
The new MURS channels are:
  • 151.820 MHz
  • 151.880 MHz
  • 151.940 MHz
  • 154.570 MHz
  • 154.600 MHz

Our 190-1210 and 190-1210 (mobile version) radios can easily be programmed for four of those frequencies.

  1. Turn VOLUME fully counterclockwise (transceiver OFF).
  2. Remove the battery door, but do not remove the battery (battery must have some charge).
  3. Choose a preset frequency from the chart below and set the encoder DIP switches to match the desired frequency.
  4. Turn the radio on and the new frequency is set.
  5. To set the second frequency in the 190-1210, flip the frequency switch and repeat steps 1-4 above.

For the 190-1217:

Selecting A Business Band Frequency:

 

 

  1. While holding PUSH TO TALK, turn on the transceiver. You hear "frequency" and the current frequency setting ("frequency nine," for example).
  2. Choose a business band frequency from the following table:
    Frequency You Hear:
    151.625 MHz One
    151.955 MHz Two
    154.570 MHz Three [MURS channel (blue dot)]
    154.600 MHz Four [MURS channel (green dot)]
    151.700 MHz Five
    151.760 MHz Six
    151.820 MHz Seven [MURS channel (no dot)]
    151.880 MHz Eight [MURS channel (no dot)]
    151.940 MHz Nine [MURS channel (no dot)]
  3. Repeatedly press PUSH TO TALK to scroll through the transceiver's business band frequencies. When you hear the business band frequency you have a license to use, release PUSH TO TALK.
  4. Press MONITOR twice to store the frequency.
