| Step 1: Lock Out a Channel while Scanning |

| Press L/OUT when the scanner stops on a channel that you do not want to transmit. L will display on the top row.
Note: If you are scanning a trunking system, pressing L/OUT will lock out the talkgroup ID. |

| Step 2: Lock Out a Channel Manually |

| Press MAN, enter the channel number and press MAN again or use the arrow keys to navigate to the channel that you want to lock out. Press L/OUT. An L will display in the top line to indicate that the channel is now locked out.
Note: Be careful of the channels you lock out. If you lock out a trunking control channel, the scanner will not monitor that system.

| Either press MAN, enter the channel number and press MAN again or use the arrow keys to navigate to the channel that you want to unlock. Press L/OUT to unlock the channel and the L will disappear. Or press L/OUT to unlock the channel while reviewing locked out channels. |

| Press L/OUT when the scanner stops on a transmission to lock out a frequency when in one of the search banks 0-6. Or manually select a frequency using the arrow keys and press L/OUT. In search banks 0-2 L will display. |

| To review locked out frequencies in search banks 0-2, press SRCH to select the search bank. Press FUNC then L/OUT to view locked out frequencies. A frequency will display with an L. Press FUNC then L/OUT again to view the next locked out frequency.

| To review locked out frequencies in search banks 3-6, press FUNC then L/OUT. L/O XX of YY Lockout list displays, where XX is the first 01, second 02, third 03 and so on and YY is the total number of frequencies that are locked out of the search bank. The up and down arrows can be used to scroll through the locked out frequencies. If no frequencies are locked out, Empty Lockout list displays. |

| To clear a locked out frequency in banks 0-2, press L/OUT to clear the L on the display. To clear a locked out frequency in banks 3-6, press FUNC then L/OUT as if reviewing locked out frequencies. Use the arrow keys to locate the frequency that you want to unlock then press CLR. |

| Step 4: Clear All Locked Out Frequencies in a Search Bank at Once |

| To clear all locked out frequencies at once in one bank, 3-6, press FUNC then L/OUT. Press FUNC then the number 6 key. A clear list confirmation will display. Press the number 1 key to clear all locked out frequencies or any other key to cancel clear. |
