 PRO-96 (200-0526) Tutorial: How To Assign A Text Tag To A Storage Bank

This tutorial will show you how your scanner can be customized by means of text tags (maximum of 12 characters) that can be stored in the scanner's storage banks for easy identification of transmissions. The text is entered using the text chart below.

Assign a Text Tag to a Storage Bank

Step 1: Select the Bank
 
 
To select the bank to which you want to assign a text tag, press MAN then the storage bank number. Enter 300 for bank 3 or 600 for bank 6. Press MAN.
 
Step 2: Enter the Program Mode
 
 
Press PGM. M will change to P.
 
Step 3: Enter the Bank Text Tag Mode
 
 
Press FUNC and the number 7. A flashing cursor will display on the third line down.
 
Step 4: Enter and Store the Text Tag
 
 
Enter the text tag information as in Steps 4 through 10 of Assign a Text Tag to a Channel. Press ENTER.
