PRO-96 (200-0526) Tutorial: how To Program EDACS Trunking Systems

This tutorial will show you how to program your Pro-96 to receive EDACS (Enhanced Digital Access Communications System) trunking systems. Program just one trunking system in a storage bank for the best results. Storage banks can contain conventional, non-trunked systems as well as system channels for trunking systems. After the scanner has processed the trunking system, it will check for conventional channel activity.

It is necessary to store EDACS frequencies in logical order. All EDACS frequencies are given an LCN (Logical Channel Number) LCN 1, LCN 2 etc. and must be stored in the corresponding channel number. The frequency with LCN 1 should be stored in channel 01, the frequency with LCN 02 should be stored in channel 02 and so on. Channel 00 is not used.
