How to Scan Stored Channels |

| If you want the scanner to scan through all channels in which you have stored frequencies, press down the SCAN/MAN key until SCAN and an up arrow displays. The scanner will quickly scan through the channels until an active frequency is found. The scanner will stop scanning and will display frequency and channel numbers. When the transmission ends, the scanner will continue to scan to the next stored frequency.
Notes: Reverse scanning direction by pressing the up or down keys
Set scanner to stay on found frequency by pressing the SCAN/MAN key before transmission ends. |

How to Turn Channel-Storage Banks On and Off |

| When a storage bank is on, you will see a bar underneath it. When it is off there is no bar. If you want to turn off a bank, press the bank's number key during scanning. The bar that was under the banks number will disappear. In this case bank # 7 was turned off. If you want to turn a storage bank on, press the SCAN key, and then the number of the storage bank that you want to turn on. A bar will appear under that bank's number. In this case bank # 7 was turned back on.
Notes: All banks cannot be turned off at once. At least one bank has to be turned on.
Any channel in a bank can still be manually selected when the bank is turned off. This is done by pressing the
SCAN/MAN key, entering the desired channel number, and pressing the SCAN/MAN key again. |

How to Monitor a Stored Channel |

| A channel can be continuously monitored without scanning, even if there are periods of no transmission. First press the SCAN/MAN key until MAN displays, then the channel number you wish to monitor, and then the SCAN/MAN key again. In this case, frequency 52.2150 which is stored on channel 121, is being monitored. |
