| Question: What is this connector used for? |
Answer: Speaker terminals are used on the back of speakers and audio equipment for making speaker connections.

| Question: What cable or cables are used with this connector? |
Answer: Speaker terminals are normally used with speaker wire, either bare or terminated. Bare wire can be used with both variations. Pin connectors and banana connectors can be used with Press Terminals; spade connectors and ring connectors can be used with Screw Terminals.

| Question: How is the speaker cable attached to the terminal? |
Answer: With press terminals, you press the lever below each slot, insert the bare wire, pin or banana connector, and release the lever to secure the connection.
With speaker terminals, you either partially unscrew the screw terminal, insert the bare wire or spade connector between the screw and the contact, and then tighten the screw. With ring connectors, you remove the screw terminal, place the screw through the ring, and then replace the screw.
