| Question: What is this connector used for? |
Answer: In audio/video, "F" connectors are used primarily for connecting a composite video cable to an audio/video device such as a television, VCR or cable box. "F" connectors are also used for connecting RF cables to communications devices.

Twist-on connectors are placed on the stripped cable and finger tightened. Crimp-on connectors are placed on the stripped cable and crimped down (using a crimping tool).
