| Question: What is active noise canceling, and why is it important? |
Answer: Active Noise Canceling on a set of headphones indicates that the headphones are designed to detect the frequency of ambient noise (such as car engines at a racetrack) and then generate a tone that cancels it out. This is an important feature, as it allows the user to focus more clearly on the audio coming out of the headphones. Generally, Active Noise Canceling is more effective than Passive Noise Canceling.
