Tutorial: How to Play Messages Using the Voice Recorder Link Software

The following tutorial will show you how to play messages. If a message has not been uploaded and saved to your computer before you choose the option to play it, you will be prompted to do this first. Windows Media Player should be installed on your computer so that the message can be played.

Step 1: Connect the Digital Recorder to the Computer
 

 
Use the USB cable to connect the Digital Recorder to the computer. The Digital Recorder screen will display the word LINK.
 
Step 2: Open the Voice Recorder Link Software
 
                

 
Click on the Voice Recorder Link program icon on the computer desktop to open it. The default display is Folder A and the messages it contains.
 

Play a Message that has not been Saved
 
Step 3: Select the Message to Play
 

 
Click on the folder tab that contains the message you want to play and click on the message to select it. In this case message # 2 in folder D was selected.
 
Step 4: Select the Play Option
 

 
Click on the "Play the voice message" icon. A Play Option window displays, select "Save the highlighted message and play it" option. Click OK.
 
Step 5: Upload and Save the Message
 

 
At the Save As window, rename the message if you want, select a save as format from the drop down box and click the SAVE button.
 
Step 6: Play the Message
 

 
After uploading and saving to your computer, the message will play.
 

Play a Saved Message
 
Step 3: Enter Play Message Mode
 

 
Click on the "Play the voice message" icon. A Play Option window displays, select "Play a saved message" option. Click OK.
 
Step 4: Select  and Play the Message 
 

 
Select the message that you want to play. Click on the OPEN button and the message will play.
