Tutorial: How to Erase Messages

This tutorial will show you how to erase all messages in a folder or how to erase an individual message.

Erase All Messages in a Folder
Step 1: Enter the Recorder Mode 
 

 
Press down the PLAY button to enter the recorder mode.
 
Step 2: Select the Folder to Erase
 
 
Press down on the DISP/SET button until the word "FILE" displays. The A,B,C or D folder will flash. Press the VOL button to select the folder that contains the messages that you want to delete.
 
Step 3: Enter the Erase Mode
 
 
Press down the ERASE button for about 3 seconds. ERASE and ALL will flash on the display.
 
Step 4: Erase All Messages
 
 
Press the ERASE button again to erase all of the messages contained in that folder.

Note: If you do not press the ERASE button again within 5 seconds, the recorder will return back to normal recorder mode and no messages will be erased.

 

Erase an Individual Message
Step 1: Enter the Recorder Mode
 
 
Press down the PLAY button to enter the recorder mode.
 
Step 2: Select the Folder 
 
 
Press down on the DISP/SET button until the word "FILE" displays. The A,B,C or D folder will flash. Press the VOL button to select the folder that contains the message (s) that you want to delete.
 
Step 3: Find the Message to be Erased
 
 
Rotate the PLAY button until the number of the message that you want to erase appears on the display.
 
Step 4: Enter the Erase Mode
 
 
Press down the ERASE button once and release it. ERASE and the message number will alternately flash .
 
Step 5: Erase the Message
 
 
Press down on the ERASE button again and the selected message will be erased. 

Notes:

  • The messages are numbered in the order they are recorded. When a message is erased, the messages are renumbered, i.e. if the first message (01) is erased then the second message (02) becomes number one (01), the third message becomes number two (02) and so on.
  • If you do not press the ERASE button again within 5 seconds, the recorder will return back to normal recorder mode and the message will not be erased.
