Tutorial: How to Operate the Recorder Modes and Read the Display

This tutorial will show you how to switch from clock mode to recorder mode and how to read the display.

Switch from Clock Mode to Recorder Mode
 

 
The recorder is automatically set to clock mode when either the batteries are changed or when the recorder is reset. To switch to recorder mode press the REC/STOP button or press the playback button on the side of the recorder.

Note: When the REC/STOP button is pressed, the recorder immediately starts to record a message.

Switch from Recorder Mode to Clock Mode
 

 
To switch from recorder mode to clock mode, press down the MODE/INDEX button. 

Note: If no buttons are pressed for 30 seconds, the recorder switches to clock mode automatically.

 

Display Information
 

Click on the part of the display you wish to know more about
 
The 2 digit index number of the message and total number of messages (02/05 indicates the 2nd message of a total of 5). Date display. Mode display                                                                     
  selected folder will display                                                           back to display
selected recording mode will display - standard play, extended play and long play
Flashes when a message is being recorded
Status of battery                                                                                                       back to display
Indicates that the Voice Activated Recording is on
Message/Clock Time (hours, minutes, seconds).Message time is shown when in recorder mode. Time is shown when in clock mode
Indicates that the time of day is afternoon
Indicates that the alarm is turned on                                                                           back to display
shows status of playback; fast, slow or normal             
Indicates the time remaining in a message
Indicates that the lock is in the on position                                                                  back to display
