What is a Digital Book?

A digital book is a matchbox-sized cartridge that can store up to 45
megabytes of information, the equivalent of 10 printed Bibles.  Franklin's
digital books provide instant searching, indexing, cross-referencing, and
many other features not found in conventional books and references.

Digital books store their information in read only memory (ROM).  Some
digital books, such as personal organizers, also have random access memory
(RAM) that allows you to save and retrieve your own information in them.

What Can the Digital Book System Do?

At home, work, or school, you can use your Digital Book System to

  instantly find words, phrases, and topics in digital books

  rapidly scroll through text and graphics

  conveniently switch between installed digital books

  quickly type, edit, and save notes in a built-in notepad

  easily copy words from digital books to your notepad, and

  highlight words and phrases and send them between books.

For example, you can look up a dictionary definition of a word in an
encyclopedia entry.  Or you can research a drug recommended by a
therapeutics manual in a handbook of drug interactions.
