(650-0883) Care and Maintenance Faxback Doc. # 61495
Your RadioShack EC-370 32K Electronic Organizer Spellchecker Thesaurus is
an example of superior design and craftsmanship. The following suggestions
will help your care for your EC-370 so you can enjoy it for years.
Keep the EC-370 dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately.
Handle the EC-370 gently and carefully. Don't drop it.
Use and store the EC-370 only in normal temperature environments.
Note: At very low temperatures, the display's response time might slow
down or it might fail completely. This is only temporary. Your
EC-370 returns to normal operation at warmer temperatures.
Keep the EC-370 away from dust and dirt.
Wipe the EC-370 with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new.
Modifying or tampering with the EC-370's internal components can cause a
malfunction and might invalidate your EC-370's warranty. If your EC-370
is not performing as it should, take it to your local Radio Shack store
for assistance.
Replacing The Batteries
Your EC-370 uses three 3-volt CR-2032 lithium batteries (RadioShack Cat.
No. 23-162) - two for power and one to back up its memory. When BATTERY
LOW appears or the EC-370's display dims or stops working properly,
replace the main batteries. Replace the back up battery about every 18
months.
Hint: To remind you of when to replace the back up battery, create a
schedule record and set the alarm to sound on that day.
WARNINGS: Keep batteries out of reach of children. Swallowing a lithium
battery can be fatal.
Always dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Do not
burn or bury them.
CAUTIONS: Always use fresh batteries of the required size and type.
To avoid losing the information stored in the EC-370, turn off
the EC-370 before you replace the batteries. Do not remove both
the main batteries and backup battery at the same time and do
