combines several reference tools into one compact, easy-to-use package.  
The EC-370 is ideal for home or business use, for students, travelers, or 
anyone with an active lifestyle.

The EC-370 lets you store the names and phone numbers of contacts, check 
the spelling of words, find synonyms, and much more.

Your EC-370 has these handy features:

     Telephone Directory - lets you store over 1,000 expanded telephone 
                           records, including names and addresses, phone
                           and fax numbers, plus additional notes.

    Scheduler with Alarm - lets you store an event's date and time, type, 
                           and important details, and sounds an alarm to 
                           remind you of the event.

           Memo Function - lets you store important notes or memos and 
                           recall them by subject.

     Reminder with Alarm - lets you store information about events that 
                           occur once every day, month, or year, and 
                           sounds an alarm to remind you of the event.

      Secret Memory Area - lets you store confidential information using a 
                           password, preventing unauthorized access to 
                           your records.

 
           Spell Checker - lets you enter a word the way you think it 
                           might be spelled to find the correct spelling.

               Thesaurus - lets you enter a word to find a different word 
                           with a similar meaning (synonym).

         Real-Time Clock - keeps track of the date, time, and day of the 
                           week in both your home time zone and in any one 
                           of 29 other zones around the world.  Lets you 
                           choose a 12-or 24-hour format and specify 
                           daylight saving time. 

                Calendar - lets you view any month from January 1901 
                           through December 2099 and highlight holidays, 
                           anniversaries, or other special dates. 

     10-Digit Calculator - performs time/date, memory, percentage, and 
                           standard arithmetic calculations.

                   Games - lets you play blackjack and a missing letter
                           word puzzle.

     Automatic Power Off - automatically turns off the EC-370 to conserve 
                           battery power if you do not press a button for
                           at least l-1/2 minutes.

How This Manual Is Organized

The EC-370 lets you use four types of records: telephone, memo, schedule 
and reminder.  The sections of this manual that describe how to store and 
maintain those records are organized like this.

    Storing Records: Each record type has its own section to describe how 
                     to enter and store that type of record. For example, 
                     you can find out how to store a telephone record by 
                     looking in "Storing Telephone Records" in Faxback
                     Doc. # 61491.

Maintaining Records: The instructions on how to maintain (recall, edit, 
                     copy, delete) all record types are grouped together
                     in the section "Maintaining Stored Records" in
                     Faxback Doc. # 61492. So, for example, you can find
                     out how to edit a telephone, memo, schedule, and
                     reminder record all in one section ("Editing a Stored
                     Record" in Faxback Doc. # 61492).
