EC-339 Rolodex 64K Pocket Data Directory
(650-0939) Care and Maintenance Faxback Doc. # 50670
Your RadioShack EC-339 Rolodex 64K Pocket Data Directory is an example of
superior design and craftsmanship. The following suggestions will help you
care for your data directory so that you can enjoy it for years.
Keep your data directory dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately.
Liquids might contain minerals that can corrode the electronic circuits.
Use and store your data directory only in normal temperature
environments. Temperature extremes can shorten the life of electronic
devices, damage batteries, and distort or melt plastic parts.
Keep your data directory away from dust an dirt, which can cause
premature wear of parts.
Handle your data directory gently and carefully. Dropping it can damage
circuit boards and cases and can cause the directory to work improperly.
Wipe your data directory with a dampened cloth occasionally to keep it
looking new. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong
detergents to clean your data directory.
Use only fresh batteries of the recommended size and type. Always remove
old or weak batteries. They can leak chemicals that can destroy
electronic circuits.
Modifying or tampering with your data directory's internal components can
cause a malfunction and might invalidate its warranty. If your data
directory is not performing as it should, take it to your local RadioShack
store for assistance.
Resetting Your Data Directory
If your data directory is exposed to a strong static discharge, or if you
drop your data directory, the display might become dim, or it might stop
responding to key presses. To reset your data directory's processor, press
RESET on the back of the display with a straightened paper clip. This does
not delete information from memory, and should correct the problem.
If this does not correct the problem, or if you want to delete the
information from your data directory's memory:
WARNING: This procedure deletes all information from your data directory!
1. Press and hold [ENTER]. Then press RESET with a straightened paper
clip.
2. Release [RESET]. Then release [ENTER]. The display returns to normal.
If this still does not correct the problem, contact your local RadioShack
store for assistance.
