Press [+/ -x]. CAL and 0. appear. For standard calculations, press the
numbers and operators in the order they appear in the arithmetic
operation.
To enter an operator (+, -, x, /), press the key below that symbol on the
keypad.
For example:
You Press You See
3 + 4 = 7.
8 x 3 - 4 = 20.
6 / 2 = 3.
CORRECTING ENTRY ERRORS
If you enter an incorrect value, press [C/CE]/[ERASE] once. Then enter
the correct value and continue your calculation.
To clear the display for a new calculation, press [C/CE]/[ERASE] twice so
0. appears, then begin the new calculation.
If you press an incorrect operator, simply press the correct operator's
key and continue your calculation.
CALCULATION ERRORS
(E) appears in the upper right corner when:
a calculation result exceeds 12 digits to the left of the decimal point.
you try to divide by 0.
If (E) appears, press [C/CE]/[ERASE] to clear the error.
MEMORY CALCULATIONS
To store a value in memory, first press [MR] (memory recall) then [MC]
(memory clear) to clear the memory, then press [C/CE]/[ERASE] to clear
all calculations.
To add a value to memory, enter the number or calculation you want to add,
then press [M+]. The calculator totals the current calculation (if one is
pending) and adds that value to memory.
Note: (M) appears to show that a value is stored in memory.
To subtract a value from memory, enter the number or calculation you want
to subtract, then press [M-]. The calculator totals the current
calculation (if one is pending) and subtracts that value from memory.
To recall the value from memory, press [MR]. The memory value appears.
To clear the contents in memory, press [MR] then [MC] so (M) disappears.
CONVERTER
You can set the exchange rate for two currencies and convert amounts
between those two currencies.
SETTING THE EXCHANGE RATE
1. Press [+/ -x]. CAL and 0. appear. Then press [EX SET]/[Y]. ENTER
RATE and 0. appear.
2. Enter the amount of the secondary currency that is equal to 1 unit of
the primary currency.
For example, if the primary currency is the U.S. dollar and the
secondary currency is the Mexican peso, and if it takes about 7.5
pesos to equal $1.00, enter an exchange rate of 7.5.
Note: If you enter an incorrect value, press [C/CE]/[ERASE] once.
Then enter the correct value.
3. Press [EX1]/[A], [EX2]/[G], or [EX3]/[M] to store the exchange rate in
the selected exchange-rate memory bank.
You can store up to three different exchange rates by repeating Steps 1-3.
CONVERTING CURRENCY
1. Press [+/ -x]. CAL and 0. appear.
2. Enter the amount of the currency you want to convert.
Note: To correct an error, press [C/CE]/[ERASE] and enter the correct
amount.
3. Press [EX1]/[A], [EX2]/[G], or [EX3]/[M] to convert from the primary
currency. The organizer displays the amount of the secondary currency
equal to the amount of the primary currency you entered. Suppose the
exchange rate you set in EX1 is 7.5:

Or, press [EX REV]/[S] to convert to the primary currency. REV appears.
Then when you press [EX1]/[A], [EX2]/[G], or [EX3]/[M], the organizer
displays the amount of the primary currency equal to the amount of the
secondary currency you entered.
