EC-336 Card-Size Data Directory Calculator
(650-0857) Addendum Faxback Doc. # 49800

In Faxback Doc. # 48888, under the section "Storage Capacity" the first
paragraph is incorrect and incomplete. The paragraph should read:

The EC-336 has 20,000 memory locations available to store information.

Each record of information in the directory/memo file has two parts. In
the first part, you can enter text, such as a person's or company's name
for a Directory listing, or any other important information you want to
store. In the second part of each record, you store numeric information,
such as a phone number. The first part of each record holds up to 100
characters, digits, or spaces while the second part of each record holds
up to 64 digits or spaces.

Each character, digits, or space stored in the first part of the record
uses 2 memory locations. Each digit or space stored in the second part of
the record uses 1 memory location. 6 additional memory locations are used
each time you enter a record.

The total number of records available varies from a maximum of 2,500 to a
minimum of 74, according to the number of characters entered in the first
part of the record and the number of digits entered in the second part of
the record. For example:

If all the records you enter have the minimum of 1 character and 0
digits, then the total number of memory locations you use is 8 per
record. And the maximum number of records can be 2,500.

But, if all the records you enter have the maximum of 100 characters
and 64 digits, then the total number of memory locations you use is 270
per record, and the total number of records possible is only 74.
