EC-382 128K Electronic Organizer w/Pager and Caller ID
(650-0842) Addendum Faxback Doc. # 48563
CALL BLOCKING
The EC-382 automatically blocks any call that matches an entry on the Call
Block List. The phone rings once, then the call is disconnected (see
"Call Block List" in Faxback Doc. # 45493). This is normal operation with
Call Block off.
When you turn on Call Block, the EC-382 also blocks calls that do not have
a name or number. This includes calls that appear as OUT OF AREA,
ANONYMOUS, and PRIVATE. (See "Turning Call Block On or Off" in Faxback
Doc. # 45487.)
PAGER FORWARDING
You can set the EC-382 to automatically forward Caller ID numbers to a
pager. (See "Pager Forwarding Setup" in Faxback Doc. # 45487.)
If pager forwarding is turned on and someone picks up an extension phone,
the Caller ID number will not be forwarded to the pager, and the answering
machine will record the sound of the EC-382 trying to dial out. To avoid
this, we recommend that you connect the answering machine's modular cord
to the EC-382's PHONE jack.
